The Wandsworth Town Ward conducted a traffic operation within Wandsworth High Street.

Dear Ward Residents,

On Tuesday 2nd June 2026, the Wandsworth Town Ward team along with officers from Putney Safer Neighbourhood Team conducted a traffic operation within Wandsworth High Street, SW18. 

The operation was in response to a number of ward residents contacting the ward team to raise their concerns about electric bicycles speeding excessively with the ward and riding on the pavement. 

The operation resulted in 8 vehicles’ being seized, (5 electric bicycles and 3 mopeds) with one driver being identified as being a disqualified from driving.
